"Doing" Fall 2010: Clothes and Shoes Part 2

I'm going to be using all clothing from Piperlime. For those of you who don't know, it's Old Navy/Gap/Banana Republic/Athleta's higher priced online store. I think it was originally just shoes but now it has a lot of nice clothing. They have a section that Rachel Zoe does where she picks her favorite pieces.

Clothes

Patterson J. Kincaid Darcy Top $88
I know the whole "Ballerina" trend is back, I really don't think it ever left due to everyone being in love with leggings and big sweatshirts. This is perfect for fall, it's bigger, it's simple and it looks super soft.

Free People Super Skinny 5-Pocket Jeans $68
Skinny jeans are a wardrobe staple now and I really think Free People make quality denim pieces. These are straight black, but I think this fall and any time of the year, you would be fine with dark blue denim. One thing to spend money on is denim. Long lasting brands are:
True Religion, Free People, Levi's (!!), 7 For All Mankind and J Brand.

Joie Catori Western Plaid Shirt $178
Another essential is a plaid shirt. I like this one because of the colors and the ruffles. Joie is also a good clothing brand and you will definitely get wear out of this for years to come.

Theory Darlin Denim Blazer $375
This is a piece I would buy if I knew I was going to wear it a lot. This can dress up leggings or just be a twist on work wear.

MK2K Cropped Sequin Henley Top $176
This is another relaxed piece. I like the sequins and the basic-ness to this top. I think this would work well for a girl's night or an everyday outfit.

Shoes

Nine West Credable $99
I love these booties! They are so cute and they are very good deal.

Boutique 9 Rivit Boot $200
These grunge boots are back in style, once more. There's no denying how cool we all feel when we have some tough boots on, and the compliments we get. Now everyone can have that feeling without hassle, thanks to the nice zip up side to these boots.

That's all for now.
Btw, I'm not being paid to review and use product examples from Piperlime. They simply just had everything I was looking for in one place.

Thanks. :)

"Doing" Fall 2010: Clothes and Shoes Part 1

Clothes
Free People Puckered Striped Short Sleeve Slip $68
Like I said before, we shouldn't be afraid of classics for Fall 2010. This is classic and versatile. I like this because of the "puckering" or in other words, ruffled material. This is a great party dress and paired with opaque tights and some nice heels will do perfectly when transitioning into Winter.

Free People Cactus Mountain Platform $148
These come in two colors and if I had say...$300 to throw around, I would buy both colors. I think these can be fun for the September/Beginning of October days when it's still warm out. The black ones they have (click the link) would also be awesome. I really love these.

ASOS Tailored Drapey Pencil Skirt $58.96
This skirt is totally cute for the office, your after school internship or going out. I like the fuchsia color and the style is updated but still classic.

Halogen Merino Wool Boyfriend Cardigan $49.90
This cardigan is perfect for fall. It's longer to pair with denim leggings or skinny jeans and it will keep you warm because it's wool. This is perfect when you don't want to be weighed down by a heavy coat or heavy sweater. I would buy it now because it's on sale!

Flowering Pasture Blouse $128
This blouse would be really great for fall with jeans, boots and maybe a leather jacket. I think it looks really professional but still youthful.

Steven by Steve Madden Intyce Knee High Boots $129
I think these boots are really good investment. They remind me of Frye boots, except they are a lot less expensive. I like the wine brown color. They have a few other colors, you can match accordingly to your taste.

Look out for Part 2 of "Doing" Fall: Clothes and Shoes!!!

"Doing" Fall 2010: Accessories

Accessories for Fall 2010

As usual, we always go back to classics after running with a lot of trends. This year, classics are absolutely in style and no one will be able to call you boring, old-fashioned or just not fun (and they have). So classic black pumps, simple purses, your favorite scarves are all fall ready. With the not so good economy and on going recession we have to put certain things into consideration. Going back to classics is good for us, we have a lot of what is in style. Don't think you have to absolutely trendy this Fall.

Christian Louboutin Simple 100 Patent Pumps $595
I hope everyone owns a simple pair of black pumps. I love Christian Louboutin. They're really good shoes and are worth the high price tag.

Michael Kors 'Tonne-Large' Bag $598 (Sale!)
You should have some version of a classic bag. I like this because it may be simple but the gold hardware adds a nice touch to it.

Ralph Lauren Black Label Shearling Collar Cropped Jacket $1,998
I have not and will not wear real fur. I really liked the look of this coat and I love Ralph Lauren. I do not like real fur. Fur is a classic piece. As much as it is discriminated, it will remain classic. We can still get the look and feel of real fur without sacrificing animals. Fake fur is also cheaper and more humanitarian. Opt for faux, please :)

Obsessions of The Moment

The Scarf
Mint to Be Scarf (Buy)
Literally 5 minutes before I wrote this, I got an email from Style and this scarf was there. It was destiny and when I get some cash, I will own this scarf. I might even go to the store since it's close to my house. It has a airy breeze to it (the theme of the Style newsletter) and I think I could bring it into the winter.

The Music

Eminem's Recovery (Buy)
Marshall Mathers has a way with words. It is totally evident in his new cd, Recovery. I really enjoyed it. He might be angry, but he is one of few rappers nowadays that isn't singing about some girl or some weed, he sings about his emotions. This isn't for ears who aren't used to Em's angry lyrics, be aware. All I have to say is...he's baaaackkk.

The Camera

Sony Cyber-Shot 14.1 MP Point and Shoot Camera- Red (Buy)
My other camera went bye bye at Disney World after it got knocked out of my aunt's hand. It wasn't totally finished, but it wasn't up to par. I was lucky and saved my money quickly and bought this camera. The pictures are really good quality. I was impressed.

A short but sweet entry. I'm going to update more often, I have just had a lot of summer work for school. I've also been volunteering and working on starting my own bracelet company :)
