More Love For Fashion Week

I couldn't help but share my favorites from these wonderful designers :)

Badgley Mischka Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

Note: Marc Jacobs is one of my favorite men. He encourages individuality, he loves what he does and he is incredibly cute. I am in love with this collection, it reminds me so much of a 1970's Vogue.

Ralph Lauren Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

Fashion Week: My Favorites...So Far

Fashion Week is busy for everyone involved, the designers, the make-up artists, hair stylists, assistants, models and bloggers. Since I've been keeping track of Fashion Week from my phone all day (during school) it's been hard to keep up on exactly what everyone's doing. So, in turn, I picked a few designers for right now and a few of my favorite looks from them!

Carolina Herrera Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

Band of Outsiders Fall 2011 Ready-To-Wear

I was excited for this collection. I like the male looks and the female looks. It seems like grunge is here to stay...and so are hiker boots.

Banksy and Fairey

Currently, I have been under street art's spell. I really admired Shepard Fairey's work, especially right down the block from school and my one long sleeved grey Obey shirt is my favorite shirt to date, next to my first Free People blouse. And, I have heard of Banksy, from friends, school and random blogs. Recently, I saw "Exit Through the Gift Shop" directed by Banksy that follows a  French videographer turned cliche millionaire, Thierry Guetta who filmed famous street artists Space Invader (his cousin), Shepard Fairey (of Obey) and the mysterious Banksy. Fairey introduced Guetta to Banksy, for he was dying to meet him. Banksy let Guetta tag a long on his art expeditions and they became friends. Towards the end of the film, Guetta describes his executive decision to be a street artist. I'm not going to give all the details, because you need to view it.

These guys are awesome, and if you look around there's probably art around your city by them.
