Model Crush: Karlie Kloss

I have an undercover crush on Karlie Kloss. My family says its because she looks like my older sister, but I would never give myself that much credit. In my opinion, she seems like she's a normal girl, not some snobby, ciggerette-smoking supermodel. And...she's supposedly dating Joe Jonas? Whoever she dates, she's still my favorite model! Here are some of my favorites pictures of her, all courtesy of New York Magazine

[Karlie's Classic Stare and barely any makeup=flawless]

More Karlie Adoration...

A really neat blog, Into The Gloss, has features of designers, models, people we all love, etc. go through their beauty/makeup loves. Karlie was on there this past November. Check out the article here and see the other picture that accompanies the one above. (How cute is her dog?!)

These Are A Few of My Favorite Things...

I haven't been on in a while but I have been thinking a lot about Periwinkle & Pearls and have been cultivating a lot of cool new ideas for posts. I have a lot of summer homework to do, including reading three of some of the most classic, most boring books on planet Earth. To tide you over until next time, here a few of favorite things...

Hoola Bronzer by Benefit

Sonia from Runway Hippie

Long Sleeved Striped Extreme Boxy Tee from Free People
(I got it on sale!)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2
I wouldn't be a true Potter Head if I didn't put this up.
By far the best movie

My Mini Essie Hall-of-Fame

These are my top Essie hits. I know, they not vary in color much, but there's nothing wrong with that!

"Allure"
Also worn by Kate Middleton on her wedding day ;)

"Fifth Avenue"
A favorite of Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere

"French Affair"
Perfect for your toes.

"Pink Diamond"
This shade is currently on my nails now and looks great in the light. The name is pretty self-explanatory.

"Turquoise and Caicos"
I don't think this picture really does justice to this color, it's something you would have to see in person and put on your nails to apperciate.

Purchase these at Essie
or your local drugstore.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Premiere: Fashion of Hogwarts

I am really sad to see my childhood end after years of books and movies, whose premieres and releases I have awaited with the same anticipation every single time. But, with seven days until the movie, I am making myself be happy instead of sad. Here are my favorite looks from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Premiere in Trafalgar Square.

Emma Watson in Oscar de la Renta
Not only is she is fashion inspiration, her being so humble and so greatful is something very rare in movie stars today.

Evanna Lynch aka Luna Lovegood

Daniel Radcliffe
When he reached the top of the steps when he first arrived he said "Oh My God" and kept walking...my favorite moment.
Bonnie Wright
I'm going crazy over her make-up and earrings.

Lust List: House of Harlow 1960 & Rebel Yell

I've been seeing a couple items on celebrities lately and I assumed they were mega $$$ but none of them are above $150. While they're still splurges, I still am considering saving up for at least one of them.

House of Harlow 1960
House of Harlow 1960 "Sasha" Sunglasses $143
They make you look like you're wearing earrings

House of Harlow 1960 Sunburst Abalone Pendant Necklace $80
This could dress up a plain t-shirt/jean/sandal combition (aka my uniform in the summer) and is very hippie-ish (right up my alley).

 Rebel Yell
Rebel Yell "Ciao" Boyfriend Cut-off Sweatshirt $69
I love Gucci inspired shirts. I have an Obey long-sleeved shirt that is very similar to this design. It looks so comfortable.
