What I'm Loving: October

I have a love/hate relationship with fall. I love a new season, I love not feeling that sticky humidity on my skin and I especially love the clothes! What I don't like is the coldness, the rainy-ness, and I'm pretty sure my professors pump up the quizzes and tests in the fall! Anyways, it's a lovely season bringing renewal to: the fashion world, the school world and the work world. Everybody has their favorite things about fall: from clothes to food.
More after the jump....

My Beauty Wishlist for Fall & Review of the Naked Palette

While we all hate going back to school and shedding our shorts and tank tops and gladiator sandals for jeans, sweaters and boots (or at least I do)...we just have to. It is best to prepare and make the best of it. Like any person obsessed with fashion/beauty/models/Karlie Kloss/magazines....I have been staying updated on what the next big things are and I would have to say I am quite excited. Even though Summer, my favorite season, is soon coming to a close, I am quite happy.

Before anything, I recently purchased the Naked Palette by Urban Decay. I love every color and if I had to make my perfect palette this would be it. Not only does it come with a cute mini Primer Potion, something I have been dying to try, it also comes with a full size Good Karma brush by UD.

And as a girl who buys her makeup in  palettes for the value, I am very impressed. There are no 50 cent sponge tip applicators and no rinky-dink, fall apart, makeup brushes in UD's agenda.

Onto the wishlist...
Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup $45

Usually, I would never spend more than $10 on liquid foundation, which is the price of my Covergirl NatureLuxe Liquid Foundation, but this stuff has gotten very good reviews. Not only does it promise to make your skin look perfect, you only need a drop or two to cover your whole face. In the long run, this makes it a good deal.

butter LONDON Nail Laquer $14
"West End Wonderland"
This shade really caught my eye, it reminds me of Christmas, but is light enough to get away with during Fall. Actually glitter is really perfect for any season...

I don't really like floral scents, I lean more toward Viva La Juicy and Ralph Lauren HOT when it comes to fragrance choices, but this one caught my nose (and my heart) by surprise. Since by birthday is in November and that's when I will be in full blown college application mode, I might reward myself with this to remind me to keep calm & carry on.

My Mini Essie Hall-of-Fame

These are my top Essie hits. I know, they not vary in color much, but there's nothing wrong with that!

"Allure"
Also worn by Kate Middleton on her wedding day ;)

"Fifth Avenue"
A favorite of Emily of Cupcakes & Cashmere

"French Affair"
Perfect for your toes.

"Pink Diamond"
This shade is currently on my nails now and looks great in the light. The name is pretty self-explanatory.

"Turquoise and Caicos"
I don't think this picture really does justice to this color, it's something you would have to see in person and put on your nails to apperciate.

Purchase these at Essie
or your local drugstore.

Spring 2010 Part Two: Beauties on the Runway

Other than the amazing clothing, handbags and shoes is the faces of the models. The beauty aspect of the runway is almost as well thought out as the couture. Here's some highlights from the runway. (Photo Credit: Style.com)

Christian Dior
This was one of my favorite looks. It was classic and colorful.

I'm lovin' the Glamour Age hair and the red lips!

To hold in the wigs, the girls had to get their hair braided under. I think it would look just fine without the wig, those braids are wonderful!

Pretty, pretty sky blue eyes.

Chanel

I love the highlights and the coral lips. Dare I say, fierce?

That hair is like Marie Antoinette and Lady Gaga's hair-child.

I can't get over the hair arrangement.

It looks even better in the back!

Marc Jacobs

This look is intense. Can't wait to go beauty window shopping for the materials!

Wonderful!

With eyes closed, it looks simple.

Versace
(This will accompany my review of her Spring 2010 collection. One word: Fabulous.)

Karlie Kloss is simply darling.

The purple eyeliner and the loose hair seems so easy but so...beautiful at the same time.

Simplicity.

Purple and nude.
